Robin Lynn Hayes Wathen, 66, Mt. Eden, died Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Hosparus In-Patient Care Center in Louisville following a long illness. A native of Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Grace Combs Hayes and Robert Earl Melhorne, Sr. She retired after many years as a sales associate for a charitable organization. She was an animal lover, rescuing many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime and always providing food whenever a stray would cross her path. In her leisure time, she enjoyed hiking, fishing and playing bingo. She was Catholic by faith and had most recently attended Incarnation Catholic Church in Louisville.

In addition to her parents, two sisters, Margaret "Penny" O'Merea and Nora Beverly "Bev" Sanders, and one nephew, Michael O'Merea, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Sams (Robert) of Mt. Eden and Heather Hess (Timmy) of Shelbyville; three grandchildren, Maddy Pierce, Keven Hess (Aliyah) and Allie Hess (Shane Marcum); two great-grandchildren, Alexander Hess and Bella Marcum; her nephew, Tim Russell of Richmond and her faithful canine companion, Huey, the Fat Dog.

Cremation has been selected. A gathering of family and friends will be held 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Webb Funeral Home. The cremated remains will be privately interred later.

Flowers are welcome, and donations may be made to the donor's favorite animal rescue organization in Robin's memory.
