Larry Charles Catlett, 79, Crestwood, died Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Hosparus In-Patient Care Center in Louisville following a long illness. A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Charles "Smokey" and Lillian Zimmerman Catlett. He was a painter by profession, working with the Lea Painting Company for many years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, and he was a diehard UK fan. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, one brother, Kenny Catlett, one sister, Queena Perry, and one son-in-law, Jermaine Bracey, Sr., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Judy Catlett of Crestwood; two daughters, Tabitha Lynn Owens of Englewood, CO and Christiana Bracey of Crestwood; his son, Eric Charles Catlett (Eternity Smith) of Crestwood; three sisters, Linda Popp and Gloria Catlett, both of Shelbyville and Carolyn Phillips of Corydon, IN; nine grandchildren, Aaron Owens (Alexis), Anthony Owens (Opal), Ashlynn Owens, Aalijah Owens, Armani Owens, Faith Catlett (Victor), Joseph Bracey (Maddie), Jermaine Bracey, Jr. (Ania) and Javaun Bracey (Aniyah); seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are pending and the family is seeking donations to help defray the costs. The family receives the benefit of 100% of your donation. Your assistance at this difficult time will be sincerely appreciated by Larry's family.
