Jose C Pereira Jr

Jose C. Pereira Jr., 67 of Lakewood, died, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he lived in Forked River NJ for 35 years before moving to Lakewood in 2019. Jose ran cross country in his high school, Christian Brother's Academy. He went on to work for his father at Jocama Construction Corp. in Old Bridge, NJ. He then went on to open his own company Colony Builder LLC in 1998 where he built homes and developed land in Monmouth and Ocean County. In recent years he shared a partnership along with his brother, Manuel at Jocama Construction Corp. Jose enjoyed traveling, entertaining and cooking, making many Portuguese dishes and variety of seafood. Mostly he loved spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Rose Pereira, children, Alex Pereira, Angelique Pereira, brother & sister-in-law, Manuel & Noreen Pereira, sister and brother-in-law, Irene & Tom DeNigris and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday, December 1st 2-4 & 7-9pm with a 7:30pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Interment will be Tuesday, December 2nd 10am St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
