Jose Miguel Vasquez-Barreno

Jose "Miguel" Vasquez-Barreno, 38, of West Monroe, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Jose was born on September 29, 1987, in Totonicapan, Guatemala to Felipa Veronica Barreno and Jorge Francisco Vasquez. He enjoyed playing soccer, cleaning his house, and working on his house to get it the way he wanted to. Jose enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a father of a loving family; a great man that always thought about his family and will never be forgotten by us, HIS FAMILY!!
Jose is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Vasquez.
Survivors include his wife, Elsa Toc of West Monroe; children, Miguel Vasquez, Alejandro Vasquez and Cecilia Vasquez and her fiancée Wilson Mantar; his mother, Felipa Puac; siblings, Samuel Barreno, Hugo Barreno, Fernando Barreno, Isabel Vasquez, Jose Barreno, and Maria Barreno.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, at New Life Revival Center located at 744 Smith Street, West Monroe, LA 71292 under the director of Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will take place in Totonicapan, Guatemala at a later date.
