It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father Jose Pedro Villarreal-Villarreal, who left this world on September 19, 2024, at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was 69 years old.
Born on February 24, 1955, in Allende Coahuila, Jose lived a life filled with joy, love, and laughter. As a proud resident of San Antonio, his home echoed with his favorite music and the sounds of shared happiness. Known as the life of the party, Jose could always be counted on to crack a joke or sing along to a beloved song. His infectious love for music and humor brightened every gathering, especially when he took the mic for karaoke.
Jose was a skilled welder and shop foreman, a true craftsman in his trade. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, visiting casinos, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and loved ones. He always brought joy into the lives of those he held dear, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Jose was welcomed into the arms of the Lord, preceded in death by his parents, Pedro G. Villarreal and Benita Villarreal, and his sister, Maria Francisca Gonzalez.
Jose leaves behind his loving wife of over fifty years, Amalia Cruz Villarreal, who was his unwavering support and partner through every stage of life. He also leaves his children: daughters Sandra Quintana (Louis Quintana), Monica Villarreal (John Guzman), and Sonia Mendoza; and son Jose Pedro Villarreal Jr. (Andrea Villarreal).
Jose was blessed with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and joy he brought into the world. Jose's grandchildren are Brittny Nicole Quintana(James Arocha), Savannah Rae Guzman, Juston Isaiah Alexander, Amalia Roze Alexander, Klarissa Breann Flores (JB Alexander Flores), Ethan Louis Quintana, Jonathan Ray Guzman, Aiden Nicholas Villarreal, Sebastian Gage Villarreal, Jaydyn Ray Guzman, Addison Bree Villarreal, and Summer Rae Guzman. His great-grandchildren are Malania Nicole Arocha, Malena Nichole Arocha, Penelope Roselyn Alexander, Jussiah Walker Alexander, Maleah Nicolle Arocha, Kingston Isaiah Alexander, Athena May Quintana, Kailo Jay Alexander, and the late Lilah Roselyn Alexander, who greeted him in heaven. His legacy lives on in each of them, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide them.
Jose is also survived by his loving sisters Maria Elena Villarreal, Maria Benita Diaz (Ruben Nava), Maria Dora Elia Aguilera (Hector Aguilera), Maria Guadalupe Sanchez (the late Ramon Sanchez), and his brothers Jose Angel Gonzalez (Diana Gonzalez), Jose Luis Gonzalez (Maria Luisa Gonzalez), and Jose Alfonso Villarreal (Frances Villarreal). In addition to his siblings, Jose leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were touched by his warmth and love.
His laughter, love for music, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that Jose is now serenading the angels and keeping the heavens filled with laughter.
Rest in peace, Jose Pedro Villarreal-Villarreal. You will forever be remembered for your love, jokes, and the light you brought to everyone who knew you.
