It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Josefa R Garza, 90, of Round Rock, Texas, on December 21, 2023. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love and family at her side.
Josefa was born in Mexico on March 24, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and 2 sisters, and her beloved husband, Pedro Garza of 41 years.
Our mother was a kind, caring and generous person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a woman of strong faith and instilled in us by example, the importance of family, hard work, perseverance, and doing what is right.
Loved ones that will cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her five daughters, Rosa M. Garza and husband, Elmano Gonsalves, Maria D. Garza and husband, Santiago Gonzalez, Concepcion Garza Nortin and husband, Scott Nortin, Martha Garza, Marisela Garza and husband, Marcos Pinales, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In Josefa's loving memory, please share kindness with others and compassion towards all of God's creatures.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons; Scott Nortin, Matthew Sowers, Michael Gonzalez, Christopher Pinales, Joseph Nortin, Jacob Nortin and close family members; Armando Botello and Kory Owen.
Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Dana Nortin, Ariel Sowers, Rachel Gonsalves, Jena Gonsalves, Brianna Gonzalez and Zoë Garza-Pinales.
Public Visitation will take place at Castle Ridge Mortuary on 01/18/2024 - 1pm - 8pm.
Praying of the Rosary: 01/18/2024 - 6pm.
