Erik Rogalinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - North on Aug. 12, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Erik Robert Rogalinski, a cherished soul known for his loving heart, infectious smile, and endless humor, was called home on August 3, 2025, at the age of 23. He was born on February 21, 2002, in San Antonio, to parents Tracie and Joseph Rogalinski who instilled in him the values of their Catholic faith, a strong work ethic and unconditional love.

Erik attended Northwest Hills Christian School, the Atonement Catholic Academy, Folks Middle School and Sandra Day O'Connor High School, where he played football all four years and participated in the Ag program, raising a pig named Pumpkin.

Erik was pursuing his bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in mathematics at the University of Houston, while also tutoring his fellow students in chemistry. Making the Dean's List and scoring an A in organic chemistry topped the highlights of his college career.

In his free time, Erik enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing, hunting and, most recently, golf. He also loved a great pickleball game, gathering with his friends, to include his famous love of karaoke, and he was on the verge of winning big in fantasy football.

Erik was always teasing and being goofy with his four younger siblings Jack, William, Brett, and Matilda. Rough housing was often followed by a big brother bear hug.

Erik was the proud grandson of Benito and Sylvia Diaz and Kay & Bob Rogalinski. He was also blessed with a large and loving extended family, including his aunts and uncles: Linda and Dale Westendorf, Pamela and Bill Rogalinski, Peggy and Steven Rogalinski, Linda and Bill Mohr, and cousins: Gabrielle and David De La Rosa, Emilee Cardenas, Katy and Ally Westendorf, Joanna and Blake Johnson, Caroline and Ben Pike, Ellie, Jenna, Peter, and Robert Rogalinski. Erik was also surrounded by the love of many close friends and relatives.

Erik is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Matilda and Heliodoro Garcia and his paternal grandfather Robert Rogalinski.

His story does not end here, for Erik's spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. Though we mourn the loss of such a beautiful soul, we also rejoice in the knowledge that Erik is now in the loving embrace of our Lord, catching the biggest fish with his Grandpa Bob.
