Olivia E. Lopez

Olivia E. Lopez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at the age of 88 in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on January 14, 1937, Olivia's life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless love, and deep devotion to family.

Affectionately known to all as Nana, Olivia dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. As the proud mother of five children-Tom Lopez and his wife Jan, Melinda Gordon and her husband Randy, Annette Lopez, Arleen Donoho and her husband Lawrence, and Michelle Espinoza-Lopez-Olivia exemplified grace, resilience, and unconditional love. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward the values she so gently instilled.

A devout Christian, Olivia's faith was the foundation of her life. Her belief in God shaped her every action. Her home was a haven filled with warmth, laughter, and open doors-always a place where friends became family and memories were lovingly made.

She delighted in feeding the birds that visited her garden and spent countless hours tending to her flowers.

She also had a heart for adventure. Olivia's passion for travel took her to Canada, Mexico, and several countries in Europe. She visited 32 states across the U.S.-a journey made possible with the support of her devoted children. Though she dreamed of seeing all 50 states, the memories she created along the way were far more valuable than simply reaching every destination.

Olivia's life was one of quiet strength, kindness, and compassion. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of her family and the many lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the chirping of the birds, the blossoms in her garden, and the hearts of those who loved her.

We celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman deeply loved. Olivia will be missed beyond words, but her memory will be cherished forever.

A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at San Fernando Cemetery III - 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226
