Jonathan Gabriel Subia

December 17, 1998 – July 23, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jonathan Gabriel Subia, who left this world far too soon at the age of 26.

Jonathan was a devoted father, a loving son, and a loyal friend. He was the proud dad of three beautiful children-Josiah, Eleia, and Keven-who were the light of his life. Despite living with chronic kidney disease, Jonathan carried himself with strength, compassion, and a deep love for his family.

Jonathan was known for his humor, loyalty, and for being a truly great dad. He had a natural ability to lift spirits, he filled every room with laughter, and his presence was always felt. He loved to dance, go fishing, rap, and game, finding joy in making music, sharing laughs, and connecting with others through play and creativity. One of his favorite things was taking his kids fishing and showing them the simple joys he grew up loving. His joy was contagious, and his memory will continue to bring smiles even in his absence.

Jonathan graduated early from high school and was in the process of completing his studies at Alamo City Barber College, working toward becoming a licensed barber. He was driven to create a better life for himself and his children and took great pride in the progress he was making.

He is survived by his mother, Raquel Yvette Torres; his father, Jesse Gabriel Subia; his maternal grandmother, Angie Blea; his maternal grandfather, David Torres, and step-grandfather, Marty Blea; his paternal grandmother, Suki Subia, who raised him; his two sisters, Angelica Yvette Subia and Michaela Marie Martinez; and his three children, Josiah, Eleia, and Keven.

He is also survived by a niece, a nephew, cousins, aunts, and uncles who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gabriel Robledo Subia, who also raised him.

Jonathan's life was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Though his time with us was short, his legacy will live on in every heart he touched.
