Joseph J. Bilecky

Unexpectedly, on Friday, November 19, 2021, Joseph John Bilecky, age 64, of McCandless, passed away. Born in Pittsburgh, on May 1, 1957, Joe graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1975. Joe was a man of many trades. He was skilled in electric, plumbing, and anything mechanical. While he enjoyed those trades, his specialty was working on cars. Even when he was young, Joe could often be found with his head under the hood of a car, diagnosing and fixing them until they were good as new. Joe had a passion for making the old, new again. Along with working on cars, Joe enjoyed antique car shows, riding Harleys, and cooking. He was a phenomenal cook and loved experimenting with recipes. He had a huge heart and could often be found fixing people's cars for free, helping with household maintenance, and donating to people and animals in need. Joe is survived by his daughter, Alli Bukauskas (Nathan Shapert) and his grandsons, Braydon, 13, Mason, 6, and Colton, 9 months; sisters Julie (Rexx) Ogle of TN, Jane (late Michael) O'Malley of Cambridge Springs, and brother Jeff (Terry) Bilecky of CO; nieces & nephews Jessica, Jonathan, Emily, Meagan, Michael, Jennifer, Tyler, Brian, Parker, and Kevin; also survived by many cousins and lifelong friend and cousin Tommy Gentile. Joe was greeted in heaven by parents John & Helen Bilecky, grandparents Joseph & Helen Oechslein and Julius & Anna Bilecky, and his brother-in-law and friend Michael O'Malley. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1-7 p.m. at Simons Funeral Home at 7720 Perry Highway, Pgh, PA 15237 where a blessing service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Christ Our Redeemer, North Side Catholic Cemetery.
