Joseph Boudreau Obituary

Visit the Cataudella Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.
Joseph U. Boudreau, age 89, of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at Beverly Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Born in Concession, Nova Scotia, Canada, Joseph was the son of the late Lindsay and Elise (Comeau) Boudreau. He was raised in a close-knit Acadian community, where he developed the values of hard work, humility, and devotion to family-principles that would guide him throughout his life.

In his early twenties, Joseph immigrated to the United States, settling first in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. It was there that he began to build a life rooted in perseverance and integrity. Eventually, he made his home in Lawrence, where he shared over six decades of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara R. (Giarrusso) Boudreau. Together, they created a warm and welcoming household, raising a family that remained the center of Joseph's world.

Joseph was a man of quiet strength and tireless dedication. He began his career at Malden Mills, known for its demanding work and strong community ties. Later, he joined Raytheon, where he served with distinction for twenty-seven years until his retirement. His colleagues knew him as dependable, diligent, and kind-a man who led by example and took pride in every task he undertook.

Beyond his professional life, Joseph was a man of many joys. He had a deep love for travel and embraced every opportunity to explore new places, often with his family by his side. His social nature made him a cherished presence in every gathering, and he had a gift for making others feel seen and valued. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially at up in the white mountains, where he delighted in time spent at Story Land and Six-Gun City Clark's trading post. Swimming, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Joseph's legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the lives he touched-with kindness, generosity, and a heart full of devotion.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment will take place at St. Mary – Immaculate Cemetery, where Joseph will be laid to rest in the peace he so richly deserves.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joseph's memory to a charity of choice that reflects his spirit of compassion and community.

Joseph will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
