Joseph P. Bressan of New Fairfield, CT, passed away Sunday October 23, 2022, in New Haven, CT at the age of 58.
Joseph was born September 20, 1964, in Bronx, NY son of the late Ferruccio and Dina M. (Cancian) Bressan. He was a graduate of St. Raymond's High School; he attended Mercy College and Elevator Mechanic Technical School. On November 4, 1990, he married Gwendolyn M. Shaw in Bronx, NY. They lived in Bronx, NY before moving to New Fairfield twenty-five years ago. Joseph worked as a Elevator Service and Repair man for the NYC Housing Authority in Bronx, NY. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, State parks and creating and working with his hands.
Besides his wife Wendy, Joseph is survived by his son Brandon Bressan of Manhattan, NY; brothers Louis Bressan and Glen Bressan both of Brewster, NY, and a grandson Bradley Bressan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 29, 2022, 11:00 am at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY followed by the burial in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Brewster. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday October 28, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Contributions in Joseph's memory may be made to the New Fairfield-Sherman Animal Welfare Society, 223 Route 37, New Fairfield, CT 06812.
