She graduated from Mercy College in Detroit, MI. Barbara worked as a RN originally at St. Joseph Hospital, Pontiac, MI and then Metro General Hospital. She moved to Cleveland in the mid 1950's and worked for Republic Steel and National Can. She married Robert S. Wisniewski on October 18, 1958 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2023. They built their home in Garfield Heights where they raised their three children and were members of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church where they were members for nearly 40 years. She concluded her career serving as Nurse Manager (RN) at Jennings Hall in Garfield Heights retiring in 1998. After retirement Bob and Barb moved to Marblehead, OH where they were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was active in the Choir, The Altar Rosary Society and several committees.
Barbara is survived by children: Geoffrey (Sheila) Wisniewski of Columbus, OH, Roberta (Rodney) Kozar of Chagrin Falls, OH; grandchildren: Kyle (Amanda) Wisniewski, Erica Wisniewski, Jessica Wisniewski; brother: James Ebert of Williamsburg, VA; sister: Sandra (Joseph) Curatolo of Westlake, OH.. She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Arthur Ebert; husband: Robert Wisniewski; son: Bryan Wisniewski.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. The Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 5:30 pm in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday, October 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Danbury Food Pantry.
