Judith (Judy) Ann Smith (Pressler) born July 27th, 1942 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Robert and Clara (Detillian) Pressler passed away peacefully October 10th, 2025 with her loving husband Willard Smith of 63 years by her side. Judy was born in Fostoria, Ohio and when she was 6 months old the Presslers moved to Willow Beach in Port Clinton, Ohio. She graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1960 and stayed in contact with her classmates and met with them monthly. On June 27th, 1962 at Faith United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, Judy married the love of her life Willard Smith, whom she met at the Gem Beach Dance Hall. They resided in the Port Clinton area for their entire married life with the last seven years on Catawba Island. In her early years Judy was a proud member of the Cochran Majorettes and traveled to various parts of the country to perform. The love of the Majorettes and festivals carried on in her life when she started her own drum and baton Corps, the Port Clinton Legion Paraders, who performed in various festivals and events across Ohio. The love of festivals extended into taking over the Port Clinton Walleye Festival from the Port Clinton Legion and growing this festival with her husband and friends helping by her side for the next 30 years. Judy knew no stranger and was always willing to get involved or lend a helping hand. It was her character that drew people to her and her love for people that kept them close by as friends. She loved all of her friends and neighbors. She had a special place in her heart for the little ones in her life and always had a full candy dish to welcome them into her home. She loved her cousins like siblings and held a special place in her heart for all of them. Judy spent her career with the Telephone Company starting with Northern Ohio Telephone Company, which became GTE retiring in 1997. Post retirement, she couldn't sit still and always enjoyed working and helping where she could. She spent a number of years at the Lakeside Hotel, East Harbor State Park, The Catawba Moorings and Cedar Lanes Campground. Judy was very faithful in her belief of the Lord and loved attending The Chapel in Port Clinton with her husband and family with her daughter-in-law (Shelley) always saving her a seat. Judy and Willard together raised three sons who all married three beautiful women who became like her daughters to her and led to 6 wonderful grandchildren and 3 Great Grand Children. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sibling Jeannie who passed before Judy was born and her middle son Bob in 2022 who she missed dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family: Husband Willard; Sons: Mike (Marlene), Steve (Brenda), daughter-in-law, Shelley; grandchildren: Joshua (Hannah) Smith, Nicole (Mike) Marks, Zachary, Sydney, Taylor, Noah; great grandchildren: Mila, Hayden and Wesley; sister-in-law: Brenda (Roger Swinehart) Baker and her family. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday October 16, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 am where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870, Mercy St. Vincent Home Away, 2213 Chery Street, Toledo, OH 43608 or The Chapel, 4650 E.
