Carol A. Bean, 78, of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025. She was born August 11, 1946 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Howell) Allison. She graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1964, the first class to graduate from the new school.
Carol started working at Uniroyal in 1965 and worked there for 34 years until the plant closed in 1999. She then started working at Crown Battery in 2000 and retired from there in 2010. Carol was an avid volunteer for Friends of Port Clinton Cemeteries and a member of the Port Clinton Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are her partner: Carl Taylor of Oak Harbor; daughter: Kim (Tom) Snider of Port Clinton; grandson: Joseph (Neil) Farkas of Grove City, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; partner: Clayton Gonya; grandson: James Farkas; sisters: Luella Pollard, Bonnie Marshall, and niece Shelly Pollard.
Visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2025 from 3:00 5:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser, & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Friends of Port Clinton Cemeteries or Light House Sober Living.
