Karen S. Carr, 80, of Port Clinton, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at her home. She was born March 24, 1944 in Wooster, OH the daughter of Joseph G. and Annabelle (Trumpower) Lang. She married Richard Carr on June 12, 1965. Karen began teaching elementary school at Sandusky City Schools and then taught kindergarten at Port Clinton City Schools until her retirement. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, she was a founding member of Port Clinton Herb Club; an avid gardener and she loved spending time camping with her grandchildren.
Surviving her are husband: Richard; sons: Joseph P. Carr of Marysville, OH, Howard E. Carr of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Nicole (Jak Caplinger) Carr of Dayton, OH, Ava Carr of Columbus, Joie Carr of Marysville, OH; step-grandchildren: Galen Tipton of Columbus, Nathan Tipton of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law: Jean Tipton Carr.
Memorial services will be conducted on a date and time yet to be determined at Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St. Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ottawa County Salvation Army, 1854 E. Perry St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
