Joseph Anthony Carbone, passed away peacefully at his home in Medford, New Jersey, on June 6, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 26, 1936, in Camden, New Jersey, He was the son of the late John T. And Rose Carbone (nee Carlucci).
The beloved husband of the late Angeline Carbone for 65 years. The couple began their life together in Camden, NJ before moving to Marlton in 1963 where they raised their family, later settling in Medford to enjoy their golden years.
Together, they created a legacy that will live on through their children, John, Joe (Loretta), Steve (Krista), JoAnn DeGennaro (Mike), and RoseAnn Musto (Ivan). Joseph's grandchildren, Amanda, Gina, Joey, John, Lindsey, Danielle, Tessa, Lilli, Michael, Dominic, Kelly, Francesco, Alessia, Lorenzo, Tom, and the late Angelina and Vincenzo, were the source of his immense pride and joy. His great-grandchildren, Anna, Lucy, Isla, and Jeremy, each hold a special place in his heart. Joseph's love also extended to his siblings the late Samuel, William and Margaret.
He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, before serving his country from 1954 to 1956 in the United States Army. Joseph enjoyed a successful career as a general contractor, founding J. C. Maintenance Company alongside his wife. His professional journey continued in public school administration for 18 years, culminating in his retirement as the Director of Buildings and Grounds with the Lenape Regional High School District in 1998.
Joseph had many interests. He was an avid gun collector and a respected member of the Square Circle Gun Club for many years. His passion for classic cars was well-known. He could be found many Saturday afternoons with his Car Club buddies anxiously awaiting one of the many awards he earned for his "caddy". Joseph's culinary skills were legendary among family and friends, as was his love for John Wayne.
Even though he considered himself a "tough guy", his kindness, generosity and love were always present. He found joy in bringing family and friends together for Sunday dinners, the annual crab party, and picking dollars off the Christmas Tree. Joseph's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all he knew.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
