Joseph A. Cattani

Joseph A. Cattani, affectionately known as Joe, age 89, of Timberlake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 17, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1936, in Lafferty, Ohio, to the late John and Olga Cattani.
Joe was the devoted husband of Irene Cattani (née Beringer) for 63 wonderful years. His life was marked by service, entrepreneurship, and faith. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before dedicating his career to the construction industry. He was a co-founder and part owner of Lake Building Products Inc.
A man of deep faith, Joe was a dedicated and longtime parishioner and lector at St. Justin Martyr Church, where he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. His proud Italian heritage was celebrated through his membership in the Alpini Trentini Italian Club. Joe also loved sports, especially cheering on the Cleveland Guardians.
Joe's greatest legacy is his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene, and his children: Susan (Chris) Souchik, Dave (Julie) Cattani, and Angela (Paul) Kijauskas. He was a cherished grandfather to Amanda Souchik-Beudert (Chris), Hailey Souchik (Katy), Heather Souchik, Jack Cattani (Brynn), Ella Cattani, Olivia Kijauskas, Andrew Kijauskas, and Elena Kijauskas. He is also survived by his brother, John (Judy) Cattani.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Olga, and his siblings, Anna Kirschling, Raymond Cattani, and infant sister Armeda.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd, Eastlake, Ohio 44095.
