Joseph H. Cheek

Joseph H. Cheek, age 82, of Avon passed away on December 12, 2025, in his residence. He was born on September 24, 1943, in Indianapolis to the late Joseph Cheek and Dorothy Gamble. Joe graduated from Plainfield High School class of 1962. He was a Millwright for AM General until it's closure and has worked for Adesa in Plainfield for several years. He was a member of the Brownsburg Baptist Church, past vice president of local UAW 555, Moose Lodge and Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 19, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Visitation will be on Friday December 19, 2025, from 11 a.m. until services in the funeral home.

Survivors include his children: Brian Cheek (Robin), Bradley Cheek (Traci) and Sheri Bremer (Brad). Sister Kylia Mull. Grandchildren: Jessica Strader (Shawn), James Cheek, Jennifer Glispie (Aaron), Levi Cheek, Kaylee Cheek, Doug Cheek, Jake Cheek, Garrett Cheek, Angel Cheek, Dylan Cheek and Amanda Neff (Chris). Great-Grandchildren: Katelyn Strader, Shelby Strader, Kelsey Strader, Sammy Strader, Kyleigh Glispie, Addison Glispie, Cooper Glispie, Kenley, Glispie, Faith Ann Cheek, Taylor Cheek and Isabella Cheek.
