Oriskany Falls:
Joseph K. Cieslak, 74 of Valley Rd., passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Wynn Hospital, Utica. He was born on August 13, 1951, in Utica, a son of the late Leo J. and Stella (Wolanski) Cieslak and graduated from Oriskany Falls High School. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Joseph was a pipefitter and welder for the Construction and General Building Laborers Union #79. He was communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oriskany Falls; a member of the American Legion, Kelley-Phillips Post #569 of Oriskany Falls and enjoyed hunting and fishing at one time.
Surviving are his daughter, Heather Cieslak of Foxboro, MA; a son Kevin (Brandy) Cieslak of Cassadaga, Fl; two brothers, James Cieslak of Waterville, John (Jan) Cieslak of Lowville and two nieces, Alicia Cieslak of Boulder, Co; Monica (Tommy) Kilts of Waterville. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who he always enjoyed spending the holidays with and enjoyed listening about their adventures through the years.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1 pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Oriskany Falls.
Contributions in his memory may be made to, the American Legion, Kelley-Phillips Post #569, 115 Madison St., Oriskany Falls, NY 13425 or to the Waterville Vol. Fire Dept., 222 E. Main St., Waterville, NY 13480.
