Joseph E. Colopy, age 60 of Lancaster, died August 25, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Lancaster, on July 14, 1962 to the late Harold and Josephine VanPelt Colopy. He previously drove fuel trucks for Milliser Oil and currently works for SRI and was a member of the Lancaster AmVets. He enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his friends. His love of life and personality will be remembered.
He is survived by his son, Josh (Heather) Colopy; grandchildren, Taylor, Carter, Hallie, Jaxon, and Jase Colopy; sister, Anne (Michael) Triplett; nieces and nephews, Roy McClellan, Sara McClellan-Lilly, and Donald Husband; great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Madison, Logan, and Jaxson; and girlfriend, Helen Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Carla Colopy.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 30, at 6PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4PM until the time of service. Caring Cremation will follow. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
