Joseph Angelo Daversa, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 25th at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, who adored him. His passing has left a void that can never be filled. Joe's love for his family was boundless; he was a pillar of strength and love for his family. He is survived and deeply missed by the love of his life, his loving wife, Joan, of 38 years. He is forever cherished and remembered by his children, Tony (Lisien), Jay (Melissa), Vincent (Lauren), Joey (Sharde), and his six grandchildren, William, Gabriel, Jonathon, Nico, Ava, and Sabella.
Joe, aka "The Italian Stallion," was born on December 9th, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a collegiate athlete who began a career in Education and later relished the challenges of Automobile Management. Joe's dedication to sports was unparalleled. He immensely enjoyed spending time with his boys, giving them unsolicited advice on being a champion. He was a loyal fan of his beloved Chicago Bears and enjoyed watching college sports. He particularly relished high school wrestling tournaments, where his passion was always evident. Joe savored family dinners on Sunday, where family stories and memories were made. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and classic cars, one of which was his 1955, which he loved to admire.
Joe was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a true Mans Man, charismatic; his confidence, empathy, and ability to inspire and motivate others were unmatched. He was always a loyal and faithful friend to many, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A time of gathering, celebration and remembering Joe's life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM, in Oman Funeral Home and Crematory, 653 Cedar Road,
