Joseph C. DiMuccio

Joseph C. DiMuccio, 70, of W. North Street, died Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. He was born in New Castle on August 31, 1953 a son of the late Albert D. and Mary A. (Carkitto) DiMuccio. Mr. DiMuccio worked as a laborer for RoMed Construction and IA Construction retiring after 23 years. He also was co-owner of J&B Contracting for 6 years. He loved golfing, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed painting pictures and landscapes, cooking, jig saw puzzles, was a Civil War Buff, and a High School Basketball Referee for many years.
He is survived by two children, Nicole L. Mignano and husband Chris of York, PA and Joseph W. DiMuccio of New Castle, four grandchildren, Brady Haering, Dante Haering, Hunter Haering and Kelsey Mignano, one brother, John R. DiMuccio and wife Donna of Youngstown, OH, one sister, Rosemarie Flamino of New Castle, his former wife, Lynn Retort and her husband Donald, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Albert J. DiMuccio and his brother-in-law, Arthur Flamino.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Blessing Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
