Marcus Joshua Rhoads, 15, of Dushane Street, passed away after a brief battle with Leukemia, on November 12, 2025, at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born in New Castle, PA, on November 24, 2009, the son of Joshua A. and Nicole L. (Palmer) Rhoads, they survive at home. Marcus was a high honor role student at New Castle Area High School. He loved his cats and gaming. His favorite subject was science, and he enjoyed learning about the weather. He will be remembered as the kindest soul you have ever met.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by one sister, Eris Nicole Palmer of New Castle, his grandparents, James and Linda Palmer, and Matthew and Denise Rhoads, two uncles, and a number of cousins.
Private services have been scheduled at the William F. DeCarbo & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
