ORLEANS - Joseph J. Donna Sr., age 69 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 4th, 2024.
Joseph was born on August 13, 1954, to Robert and Sandra (Prue) Donna.
Joseph had a love for cooking, camping and carpentry. He enjoyed helping others when he could. He liked old cars, driving trucks, and traveling. The State of Maine was a happy place for him. He was always loving, caring, and had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He owned and operated J & D Transport for 15+ years, along with working for the state of Vermont, VTRANS, after semi retiring, he worked part time for G.W. Tatro driving truck. He enjoyed his daily coffee with Allen in the morning, and the annual party that was held at Jeffrey's with family and friends. He had a love for animals no matter the type or size.
Joseph is survived by his girlfriend whom he loved very much, Lou Boisvert; children, Bobbi Jo Lumbra and her husband, Gary, and Joseph Donna Jr. and his wife Kimber; grandchildren, Colby Tanner, Isaac Lumbra, Emily Lumbra, Natalie Lumbra, Kaitlynn Donna, Meghan Donna, Riley Donna, Serenity Leach, Nathaniel Leach, Jedediah Donna, Cheyenne Donna; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Grayson, Evadella, and Isabella; brother, Perry Donna; and several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Sandra Donna, and his wife, Deborah Donna.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Franklin County Animal Rescue, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478 or St. Jude’s's children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s's Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Family and friends will be invited to Joseph's Life Celebration events to include visitation on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave.,Enosburg Falls, VT 05450. A graveside service will follow at 1:00PM at the Montgomery Center Cemetery.
