Joseph R Durso

Durso, Joseph R. age 59 of Stillwater Twp., NJ passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening February 8, 2024 at his home. Born in Red Bank, Joseph grew up and lived many years in Matawan, NJ before moving to Stillwater Twp. thirty-five years ago.
A graduate of Saint John Vianney Roman Catholic High School Holmdel, NJ class of 1982, Joseph went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry University. Joe had a long and satisfying career with New York Presbyterian Hospital currently holding the position of CT Imaging Specialist.
A devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Joe was a talented gardener who loved the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed spending time outdoors skiing, as well as fishing and kayaking at Swartswood Lake. With a passion for music, Joe was also a frequent concert goer, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his four daughters.
Joseph was predeceased by his mother Angelina Rose (nee DeNigris) Durso, his father Sylvano W. Durso, his sister Joan Rose Krueger and his mother-in-law Linda Mary Grochowski. Survivors include his beloved wife Jennifer Jude (nee Grochowski) Durso, his cherished daughters Nina J., Tessa E., Emily A. and Rachel Mary Durso. Also surviving are his sister Patricia and her husband Kevin Keeley, his brother William and his wife Carolyn Durso, his father-in-law Joseph J. Grochowski, his brother-in-law Joseph J. Grochowski and his fiancée Lynn Paterek, as well as his several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday February 15, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church #203 Swartswood Road Swartswood, NJ 07860. Funeral Mass will begin in the Church at 11 AM. Private cremation services will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials in Joseph's memory may be made to Covenant House www.covenanthouse.org.
