Joseph Allen "Joe" Eatmon, passed away peacefully at his home in Buxton, NC, on October 23, 2025, at the age of 75. Joe was born on May 28, 1950, to the late JW and Virginia Eatmon.
Joe was a longtime resident of Wingate, NC, and Buxton, NC. He spent many years working with Carolina Telephone, which later became Sprint on Hatteras Island, where he made lasting friendships and contributed to the community.
Joe had a deep love for music and was often found playing his guitar, bringing joy to those around him. His passion for fishing on the Island was well-known, and he cherished the peaceful moments spent by the water. An avid gardener, Joe took pride in nurturing his plants and sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patti Eatmon; his parents, JW and Virginia Eatmon; and his sister, Sandra Price, along with her husband, Chuck Price.
Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Cromwell, and her husband, Curtis Cromwell, of Buxton, NC; his devoted son, Scott Eatmon, of Frisco, NC; and his four cherished grandchildren, Maddox, Lincoln, Sydney, and Jonas. He also leaves behind his dear brother, Alan Eatmon, and his wife, Martha Eatmon, of Raleigh, NC, along with numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the impact he had on their lives.
