Joseph Egana III

EGANA - Joseph Egana, III, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away March 28th, 2026. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Loganville on Thursday, April 2nd at 2:00PM. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Joseph was a native of Louisiana. He was born and raised in New Orleans and spent his time in a small town of Avondale, as a child. After graduating from high school, he worked offshore for a number of years, learning of his adeptness, determination, and a good work ethic as a young man. He later married the love of his life, Cassandra Thornton, and built their life together in Loganville, GA. Joseph was a beloved father, husband, and brother, who will be deeply missed. Joseph is preceded in death by his son, Joseph John Egana IV; parents, Joseph Jr. & Shirley (Beauro) Egana; sister, Karen Lawrence Esteen; father-in-law, Benny Thornton; and brother-in-law, Larry A. Esteen Jr. He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Egana; daughter, Kayla Egana; siblings, Denaud Egana and Trina Egana; his in-laws, Tammy & Bernard Chewe, LaTangia & Isaiah Brroks, Benny Thornton, Jr., Derrick Thornton, Neil Williams, Thyron Spears, and mother-in-law, Sandra Thornton; his nieces & nephews, Kecia & Chris Alcindor, Kimberly & Ramon Scott, and Larry Esteen Jr.; as well as, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
