Joseph Brantley Foster of Mt Pleasant, Texas passed away on August 13, 2025, in Mt Pleasant, Texas. He was born on October 12, 1943, in Holland, Texas to J E and Theoma (Peddy) Foster.

Brantley joined the Texas DPS in 1965 working in the Texas Highway Patrol and Narcotics. He was promoted to the Texas Rangers in 1978, serving in Company B in Mt Pleasant. He attained the rank of Sergeant and specialized in SWAT and sniper skills. He retired from the Rangers in 1993, becoming Chief of Security for the Guaranty Bond Banks. His dedication and contributions will always be remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Gibbs Foster, brother Ricky Lee Foster (wife Janice), niece Heather Horvath (husband Jeff) and great niece Maddie Horvath.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a son, David Brandon Foster.

A private family service will be held at a later date at Eastlawn Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas.
