Joseph L. Frango, age 95, passed away peacefully at Care One in Wilmington on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Rhoda Frango, with whom he had shared over 64 years of marriage.
Born in Manhattan, NY on April 5, 1930, and raised in the Bronx, Joseph Leo Frango was the only child of the late Joseph and Margaret (Maisch) Frango. After graduating from All Hallows High School, Joseph earned his bachelor's degree from Iona College, graduated as Salutatorian.
Joseph started working at MetLife in New York City when he met Rhoda and married in 1961. They settled in Brooklyn where they had their two daughters, Diana and Andrea.
In 2002 Joseph and Rhoda decided to move to Burlington, MA to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren, where they quickly became dedicated members of the Sons of Italy, the Woburn Senior Center, as well as the Wilmington Senior Center in recent years. Throughout their years since moving to Massachusetts and joining these communities, they have formed many lifelong friendships along the way.
Joseph always loved to learn and keep his mind active through reading and playing cards.
He was also known to be an animal lover. Rhoda and his daughters had their cat, Gypsy when they lived in Brooklyn, and years later Joseph enjoyed his final years alongside his family's dog, Ebony.
Above all, Joe will be remembered for his intelligence, and his love for his family.
Along with his dear wife Rhoda, Joe is survived by his two loving daughters, Diana MacEacheron of Haverhill, and Andrea Mannala of Wilmington; his cherished grandchildren, Colin MacEacheron, Valerie Mannalà, Darin MacEacheron, and Nino Mannalà, as well as many other dear friends.
Graveside Service for Joseph on Wednesday, November 12th at 12:30 pm at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 52 Bedford St., Burlington.

Dear Rhoda I am so sorry, I just read this (11/13). You and Joe had a wonderful long, loving life together and now he is at rest and peace. I hope you are doing well as you did so much for him over the years. Kristen
