Joseph M. Fusco

Joseph M. Fusco, age 102 of Canton, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon peacefully, surrounded by his family. A life resident of Canton, he was preceded in death by his parents Mary Cugliari and Felix Fusco, wife Geraldine (Geri) Fusco, great granddaughter Sophia Mahon, brothers Anthony Fay, Nate Faye, Joe Carnes, Patrick Fusco, sisters Theresa Campbell, Jeanne Choma, and Jenny Carnes. Joe was retired from Stark County Engineer. An avid sportsman, he was the 1935 Marble Shooting Champion. He was also inducted into the Canton Fastpitch and Fumbleball Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Canton Horseshoe Club and was listed as 40th in the United States for Horseshoe competition. Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Michele and Mark Mahon, grandsons Mark II (Alyssa) Mahon, Adam (Monica) Mahon, great grandchildren Brayden, Addison, Milo, Jaxson Mahon, sister Beverly (Jim) Linerode, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Chapter (www.alz.org). The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Kelly, Becky, Lexi and Kristen with Absolute Hospice, also the staff of Altercare of Louisville, especially Becky who took care of him like he was one of her own and we will be forever grateful to, Liz, Nicole, Lacey, nurses Georgia and Brittany, kitchen girls Jeannie, Nikki and Nicole who always made sure he had his ice cream and dessert, housekeeping Connie who always kept his room clean. We would also like to thank a special person, Faith who kept an eye on him and his good friend Greg who kept him supplied with candy.
