Joseph N. Gautieri, an esteemed aeronautical engineer with American Airlines and a loving patriarch, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on September 20, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph lived a life marked by dedication, both to his profession and to his family.
He proudly served in the Army before embarking on a successful career as an aeronautical engineer. His colleagues remember him not just for his expertise but also for his kindness and willingness to lend a hand.
Joseph was a devoted father to his daughters, Linda Walsh, Angela Gautieri and her husband Timmy Papadimitriou, and Ann Marie Koslosky and her husband Michael. His love for his family extended to his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whom he adored and cherished deeply. Joseph's family was his pride and joy, and he took great delight in being a constant source of support for them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Gautieri in 2011, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life. Together, they created a legacy of love that continues to inspire those who knew them.
Visitation will be held on October 13, 2024, at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. The first visitation session will take place from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, with a prayer service at 3:00 PM. A second visitation session will take place that evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Joseph N. Gautieri will be remembered for his kind and caring spirit, his unwavering dedication to his family, and the profound impact he made during his lifetime. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate to have known him.
