Little Falls - Mr. Joseph Grande, 74, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday morning, May 21, 2023 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer, NY.
He was born on May 31, 1948 in Little Falls, son of the late Italo and Caroline (Braccini) Grande and educated in Little Falls schools. On July 17, 1976, Joseph was united in marriage with Pamela Woolever in Little Falls with whom he shared a devoted, and loving union of 46 years.
Joe was a loving husband and wonderful father. In his spare time he enjoyed playing and umpiring in the local softball league and rooting for the Buffalo Bills. He loved vacationing in Florida with his wife Pam and their many friends and spending quality time laughing and playing with all his grandchildren. Joe was truly a joy to be around and he will be sadly missed by his family, friends and everyone that knew him.
Survivors include his family: his wife Pamela of Little Falls; his children, Jeffrey Grande and wife Kelly of Birmingham, Alabama and Alicia Geaneas of Leesburg, Virginia as well as their children. He is also survived by his in-laws Donald and Carol Woolever and Carol Russo; an aunt Claudine Grande, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Italo and Caroline and his twin brother, John.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville, 315-508-5131. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 commencing at 11 am from the chapel of MVFC. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery where committal will take place. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10-11 am, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation. The Grande family is deeply grateful for the tender love and care that the entire staff at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica and Valley Health Services, Herkimer provided during this difficult time.

Pam, Jeffrey, Alicia and family.......I'm so glad that my last personal interaction with Joe was a happy encounter with him as he passed by my mother's old home on Southern Avenue in Little Falls on one of his frequent walks around town, looking the picture of health! As always, he stopped to share some friendly words with me before continuing on his way. Having enjoyed knowing Joe and his twin brother, John, since our school days, I am very sad to learn of his passing. I hope all the happy memories you have shared with Joe will help you get through these tough days now that he is gone and I look forward to spending some 'girlfriend' time with you, Pam, when I next get to Little Falls. Stay well......Love to you all.......Paulette
