Joseph David "Joe" Gross

Joseph David Gross, better known as Joe, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer with his loving wife Vicki by his side. Joe was born 12/1/46 to the late Joseph N. Gross and the late Helen M. Gross (Laughlin) in Evansville, Indiana. Joe graduated from North High School in Evansville in 1964. He has two sons, Joseph D. residing in Muncie, Indiana and Todd M. residing in Greendale, Wisconsin. He has 3 grandsons and 2 great grandsons. He had one sister Faith J. Manczak, Rochester, NY (deceased 8/20/97) and one brother, Michael Gross, residing in Newberg, IN.

After serving in the Army for 2 years where he worked in the post office and jumped out of perfectly good airplanes he moved to Indianapolis where he worked in various jobs until he hired into Hurco Companies, Inc. and retired from there after 37 years of service including Draftsman, Production Control Supervisor and in his final position of Purchasing Supervisor.

Joe married Vicki Lynn Storm on August 2, 1980 and just celebrated 45 years of marriage. Joe loved golf, bowling and fishing and cherished his long time friendships. They built their dream home in Coatesville in 2009 where they currently still reside. He also enjoyed several winters in Florida soaking up the sunshine in the cold Indiana winter months.

His service will be handled by Bousley Funeral Home and visitation and service will be at Grace Baptist Church, 8246 IN-75, Coatesville, IN on Saturday, November 1, 2025 with visitation from 11-1 with service immediately following with burial at Stilesville Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Grace Baptist Church in his honor and name.
