Roger Allen Gross, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Kingman, Arizona, on October 15, 2025. He was born January 11, 1949, in Champaign, Illinois, to Ethan Allen and Mildred Gross.
Roger was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Sherry Gross, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and family. Together, they spent their retirement years traveling and enjoying antique and collection shopping, cherishing every new adventure they shared.
He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for 26 years, a career he took great pride in. Through his work, Roger helped countless individuals and families obtain the loans they needed to buy homes or support their farms-something he considered one of his greatest professional accomplishments.
Roger is survived by his two children, Norman Gross (Gwen) and Ryan Gross (Virginia); and his grandchildren, Zoe, Ryan II, and Nicholas. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Gross, three nieces and nephews, and several grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry Gross, and his parents, Ethan and Mildred Gross.
Roger will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and dedication to helping others. He cherished his family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and integrity.
Arrangements are under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
