He is survived by his children Steven Guzior, Donald (Laurie Haak) Guzior and Nadine Murre, grandchildren Paul J. Guzior, Claire A. (Stephen Murphy) Guzior - Murphy, Kyle T. Guzior, Rebecca T. (Kevin Pawlik) Guzior, Dana E. Murre and Christopher T. Murre.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Mae "Betty" Guzior and grandchildren Steven J.R. Guzior, Joey Guzior and Garrison Haak.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes and Crematory, 516 S. Washington St. Naperville. Interment at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials in Joseph's memory may be made to the La Salle Veteran's Home.

I have so many fond memories of Joe. He was my father in law for almost 20 years. I loved him like a father. He was grandfather to my three children, he and Betty lived only a few miles away during these years. Joe and Betty both were so very close to our growing family and we spent a lot of time together. Precious times. I could not possible count up the number of times they babysat the children, I always knew they were in the best hands.
Joe was amazingly good at everything he put his mind and hands to! He knew about auto repairs, mechanical, structural and cosmetic! He could remodel and rehab houses too! We were the beneficiary of many of his creations. He built a deck & installed a fireplace in our home as well as countless floors, countertops, bathroom and floor tiling etc. Joe was a great handyman in his retirement years, my brother hired him to do many a project. My nephew (preschooler) was always so excited when "Goozer" was coming over to work!
We named our youngest son for him, our Joey was so proud to carry his grandfather´s name. Rest in peace, dad with your sweetie Betty. I miss you both. Much love, Rachel Thomas
