Joseph Hefferin Obituary
Joseph R. Hefferin, age 81, of Ross Township, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Kathleen (Driscoll) Hefferin, his children, Julie (Hefferin) Mast and Andrew (Laura) Hefferin, grandchildren, Joseph Mast, Michael Mast, Sarah Hefferin and Anthony Hefferin and siblings, Catherine Neal, Mary Graff, Raymond Hefferin and David Hefferin.
He is predeceased in death by his parents, John and Catherine Hefferin, siblings, John, Jr., Robert, William, Regis, Edward, Margaret, James and Ruth Hefferin, and son-in-law, Glenn Mast.
Originally from Bloomfield, Joe graduated from Washington Vocational High School in 1961. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Army, and served for two years at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska from 1963 to 1965. Upon completion of his military service, Joe began working for the Duquesne Light Company where he was employed until his retirement in 2000.
In his younger days, Joe enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching college football. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Joe was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He will always be in our hearts.
