Joseph S. Hoctor

Joseph S. Hoctor, born on March 2, 1942, in the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully three days before his 82nd birthday. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan E. Hoctor, who passed away in November, and his cherished daughter, Suzy Hoctor.
Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Lynn Basir, and son-in-law, Ibrahim Basir, along with his adored grandchildren, Jessica Kilcarr, Nicole Iodice, and Adam Basir and his great granddaughter Alessia Iodice. He will also be missed by his cousin, Jaqueline Quinlan, who was a dear part of his life.
Joe was a proud veteran and an experienced crane operator who dedicated his career to building the skyline of New York City. His most notable achievement was his role in the construction of the iconic Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.
Joe was a man who lived life to the fullest. He loved his family deeply, especially his wife, Joni, and their time together was his greatest joy. His love extended to his dogs, and he had a passion for golf, storytelling, gambling, bingo, and swimming. A man full of energy and spirit, Joe's body may have been weak in his final months, but his mind remained sharp and full of life and humor.
His family is heartbroken by his loss but takes comfort in knowing that Joe is now reunited with Joni, the love of his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
