Joseph “Joe” Michael Isley II, 24, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his home in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Templeton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Joe was born on February 28, 2001, in Rockingham County. Since he was four years old, he always wanted to join the military. During his time in high school, he completed the fire safety course and was involved with the God and Country Honor Guard as well as the ROTC. He was very intelligent and did extremely well in school. After graduating in 2019 from Rockingham County Highschool, he joined the United States Army as an Infantryman where he served for four years. After his time in the Army, he then joined the National Guard to continue serving his country. He was a man with God and Country embedded in his heart. Joe loved his family, friends and coworkers and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather “Papa”, Michael Isley.

Joe is survived by his mother, Kimberly McDaniel and husband Dwayne; father, Joseph Isley and wife Sarah; brothers, Alex, Tyler and Kai; in addition to numerous other extended family members.
