Joseph Lafferty Obituary
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Kensington, Joe was the son of the late John and Anna Lafferty. He retired in 1991 from the Philadelphia Naval Yard and formerly the Bulletin Newspaper where he worked for 30 years.
Joe was a devoted parishioner of St George Church where he served as a Eucharist Minister and was a member and past president of the Holy Name Society of St George where he started the pinochle club.
He enjoyed golf and playing cards.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy Lafferty, son Tim Lafferty and granddaughter Shelli Lafferty
Survivors: Loving father of Joseph (Karen)Lafferty, Dorothy (Fiancé Ed Falcone) Carter, Daniel(Lynne) Lafferty and Colleen (Ken) Hoffman, cherished grandfather of Joe, DJ, Tim( Lillie), Casandra(Jake), Brian and Ken, great grandfather of Leo, Alana, Charlotte and Bryce
Funeral Mass: 11am Saturday, December 20, 2025 at St George Church, Lamont Ave Glenolden, PA 19036
Viewing 10-11am in the church
Burial SS Peter and Paul Cemetery
