Joe was a handyman; he was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, NASCAR, quad rides and watching the weather. He also loved rock music.
Joe is survived by his wife, Darla Hahn of Ionia; children, David Harkrader Jr. of Fenwick, and Andrea (Noe) Hernandez of Wyoming; parents, Gary and Nancy Larson; brother, Brian Larson of Ionia; sister in laws, Cynthia Shields, Angela Misner and Laura Cole; grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, Anique, Adriana and Abigail; great granddaughter, Octavia; nephew, Jacob Larson; niece, Caitlin Griffin; and best friend, Kenny (Lori) Gustafson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Jean Larson, and James and Ceilia Schnabel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Ionia Moose Lodge. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Online condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com
