Joseph Looney Obituary
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Andy Looney; brother, Johnny Ray Looney; and sister, Katie Bruce. He is survived by his wife, Martha Lynn Looney; three children, Tara Looney (Jon Wills), Nichole Looney (Jesse Jones), and Jesse Looney; siblings, Martha Norris and Tommy Looney; grandchildren, Austin Looney, Kayla Fox, Layla Fox, Samantha Looney, Joshua Wills, Zachary Thompson, Gracie Thompson, Bailey Thompson, Isabella Wills, Brantley Thompson, Dakota Wills, and Arianna Wills.
Joey was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all those he loved. He was kindhearted and always willing to help anyone in need. A grill operator at the waffle house since 1995, he happily served countless people with great food for twenty-eight years. He enjoyed the beach, fishing, telling jokes and stories, and especially making up songs with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by so many.
A service will take place in the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
