A curious tinkerer and closet inventor, he loved making things in his cellar workshop, the most famous being the lawn tractor side car, so we could ride along and the custom hillside sliding board that was the marvel of the neighborhood.
He is survived by his children Brian Mahon and Maria Borden, granddaughter Brynne Borden and his sister Maureen Saunders.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday July 31st, 2 to 6 PM at VFW post 25, 2291 Rockwell Ave, Scranton. Please join us to share stories of Joe and celebrate his time with us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 25.
