Joseph Alan "Joe" Marple, 65, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in the United Hospital Center following an extended battle with cancer.
He was born in Clarksburg on March 25, 1960, a son of the late Delbert "John" and Donna Foutty Marple.
He is survived by his wife, Darbie Marple, whom he'd been together with for over 20 years.
Also surviving are one son, Joseph "Joe" Marple, Jr. of Clarksburg; one brother, David Marple and his wife Tammy of Clarksburg; one sister, Karen Vaughn and her husband Mike of Ligonier, PA; sister-in-law, Kelly Marple of Keyser, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, John Marple; and one nephew, Joshua Marple.
Mr. Marple was a 1977 graduate of Liberty High School where he played football as #74. He was a delivery driver for Pharma Logic Holdings with nearly 20 years of service and was previously employed with Beverage Distributors.
Joe was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding with his best friend Mike Angiulli. He loved music and going to concerts with his son and loved visiting his son when he lived in North Carolina.
Joe had a great sense of humor. He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his wife.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Marple will be cremated.
A Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family at a later date.
