The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 pm in Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Joe was a longtime member of Parkers Chapel, where he found joy in worship and fellowship. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
An avid fisherman, Joe found peace and contentment on the water, always ready to share a story or teach a lesson with patience and warmth. At home, he was often found with his faithful cat, Tigger, who brought him much comfort and companionship.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Evelyn Martin; and a brother, Thomas Martin.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; his sons, Joseph (Martha) and Brian; his grandson, Blake (Madison); and his treasured cat, Tigger. His life was a testament to love, family, and faith, and he will be dearly missed but joyfully remembered.
