It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph (Jeremiah) McCarty, formerly of Taunton/Raynham MA. announces his passing on January 24, 2025. Jerry or Miah as he was known by most was the son of Louise E. McCarty and Joseph B. McCarty of Taunton who both predeceased him. He is survived by 4 siblings, 2 children and 1 grandchild. He had been living on Cape Cod for a number of years.
Mostly self-employed, he started his career in the family curtain manufacturing business. As the world changed, he moved to HVAC, then finally real estate. His great sense of humor and kindness survives him as wonderful memories for many.
He enjoyed skiing, flying, and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of life is being planned, and the time and location are yet to be determined.
