Joseph P. McLaughlin

Joseph P. McLaughlin, of Deptford, NJ, passed away November 13, 2021, at the age of 24 years. Treasured son of Karen Solen and Paul McLaughlin (Toni). Beloved brother of Nicole McLaughlin, Jake McLaughlin, and Amanda Bittner (Andrew). Loving grandson of Carol and Stanley Solen and the late Janet and late Thomas McLaughlin.
Joey graduated from Deptford High School in 2015 and from Penco Tech as an electrician in 2016. He went on to use his skills as an electrician working for Cooper Hospital. He had a love for life and never hesitated to squeeze out every drop of a day's potential. Joey had an infectious smile, laugh, and sense of humor that lit up every room he walked into. He made a new friend everywhere he went.
Joey had a passion for anything with a motor, from dirt bikes and quads to jet skis and boats. He was never afraid to take a leap of faith in fixing things and would take them apart, figure out what was wrong, and put them back together again. He also enjoyed skiing and snowboarding and just like everything else, when he fell, he would always get back up again.
Joey loved and cherished his family above all else. His mother and father meant the world to him. He shared an unconditional love with his brother and sister, a bond that only comes from years of loving memories, overcoming hardships, and sharing a home his entire life. Joey was not only an amazing sibling and son, but the best co-worker and friend to so many. His endless positivity was an influence on all who met him.
He is also survived by his Aunt Lisa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Chuck, Uncle David, Uncle Tom, and the late Uncle Mark; and his cousins, Melissa, Steven, Brandon, Matthew, Tommy, Ryan, Colin, Shane, and many more.
A celebration of Joey's life will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood, NJ. The celebration of his life will continue afterwards at his mother's home (carpooling is requested as parking space is limited), directions and further information will be given at the conclusion of his services.
