Mr. Joseph Patrick Murphy

Joseph Patrick Murphy, age 80, resident of Seven Hills, Ohio for 45 years; loving husband of Adeline Laura Murphy (nee Poliafico) for 57 years; beloved father of Kenneth Murphy (Erica), Rob Murphy (Judy), Mike Murphy (Kay), Maria Barrett (Bob), Joseph Murphy (Cindy), Juliann Krous (Bruce), and Patrick Murphy (Kendra); dear grandfather of Leah, Katie, Lauren, Meghan, Michaela, Jackson, Adam, Jared, Justin, Allyson, Jacob, Mackenzie, Hayden, Owen, and Madison; brother of the late Geraldine Murphy, Marie Dumont, and Thomas Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a United States Army veteran and was a dedicated employee of Thistledown Racetrack for 57 years. He passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. Prayer service at the funeral home on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:15 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio 44134. The Rev. James F. Mazanec, Parochial Vicar, will officiate. Interment with U.S. Army honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.
