Joseph Nizzi

Joseph Angelo Nizzi, of Lanesville, Indiana, born on July 24, 1949, in Des Moines, IA, passed away at age 75 on May 2, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. After his service, he worked as an engineer building an illustrious career until his retirement in 2013. He was a dedicated member of the KYANA Antique Automobile Club of America and the Floyd County Conservation Club. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Michael Nizzi, and his beloved granddaughter, Grace Aguilar. He leaves behind a loving family: his devoted wife of 52 years, Linda Nizzi; his caring mother, Bianca Nizzi; his children, Jennifer Nizzi (Jason Aguilar), and Daniel Nizzi (Teresa). His siblings, Charles Nizzi, and Elizabeth Morris (Willy). Joseph was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren Owen Nizzi, Delaney Scheerbaum, Ava Nizzi, Ethan Nizzi, and Camden Aguilar. The memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home - Georgetown (7420 Indiana 64, Georgetown, Indiana, 47122). It will be followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Joseph Nizzi.
