Joseph Charles Perkinson, 82, died peacefully on February 3, 2024, at his home in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Joe was born in Athens, Tennessee on January 29, 1942, to the late John and Rachel Perkinson. Joe was the devoted husband of Maria (DiMauro) Skoolicas Perkinson, whom he married on July 10, 2004 in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Joe was passionate about his work as an Electrical Engineer, having graduated from MIT in Cambridge, MA, as well as earning his Master's Degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology. Joe began his career at Hewlett Packard and then worked at Raytheon, Vicor, Digital, and for himself, before retiring from Raytheon in 2018.
Joe was a lifelong member of IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Joe secured several U.S. Patents, including one in 2010, while working at Raytheon for "Methods and Apparatus for Three-Phase Rectifier with Lower Voltage Switches." Joe received the Author's Award from the RF Systems Technology Symposium in 2007.
Joe was a devout Christian, dedicated to the Bible, and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church for the past 20 years. He was also an avid football fan, loved jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed solving Sudokus.
Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his siblings, John Dewey Perkinson, Josephine Burger, Julietta (Judy) Williams and Jack Perkinson.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Maria, as well as his son Joseph, his wife Stacy, and children, Joseph, Jared, Ethan and Emily. Daughter Jocelyn Abbott, her husband Jeffrey and their children Joshua, Joel, and Jason. Daughter Jennifer Perkinson, her husband Giles Mullen and their children Julian and Jethro. Daughter Janine Zener, her husband George, and their children Rachel, Zachary and Andrew, as well as the mother of his children, Lois Almquist Perkinson. Step-daughter Laura Gagliuso, her husband Iqtedar Chaudhry, and their children Aiden and Alexander. Step-daughter Linda O'Donnell, her husband Bryan and their children Ethan and Adrienne, as well as step-daughter Julia Skoolicas, whom he helped raise from the age of eight.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held, Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm at The DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua 03064. A Memorial Service will be held the following day, Saturday, February 17, 2024, 10am, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church, at 3 Lutheran Dr, Nashua, NH 03063. Interment will immediately follow at 11am at the Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03064. An online guest book is available at www.davisfuneralhomenh.com, (603-883-3401) "ONE MEMORY LIGHTS ANOTHER." In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Joe was a great person! I recall trying to get Joe to stop playing Pac-Man for hours into the night while on a Cape Cod vacation. .He will be missed and I am looking forward to seeing him again. Lawrence (Larry) Uhrich Copperas Cove ,Texas
